Party Time!!!!!

We had quiet an end to Gavin's birthday weekend with a wonderful party that took place at Grandma and Papa's house. Close friends and family joined in celebrating with us all the joys we have shared in the past year! The second time around seemed to come by rather quickly and i can't seem to find where the time has disappeared to except that i know i am feeling older! hehe!

Happy 1st Birthday Gavin!!!

Well it is now official... Gavin is 1 year old and now a toddler!!! It brings so much joy to our hearts to see our children grow and learn so much day by day. But amongst all this joy brings a little sadness... for me i say its bittersweet... part of me doesn't want him to stop being a baby... but then at the same time you are glad they are becoming more independent. We are all excited to see what new changes lye ahead.

I wanted to include a picture of Gavin the day he was born... exactly a year ago today. I was so happy when he arrived that the first few minutes i could not stop crying tears of joy... yes, it is a mom thing for those of you that have not had the experience of mommy hood yet. :)

Future American Idol Contestant....

On Friday our friend Brooke stopped by and Alyssa felt compelled to sing her heart out to her! We were amazed! Alyssa went into her room to put on her dress up shoes, then she picked up the maraca to use it as a mic and started singing!! It was beautiful!!! :)

Today we met up with Sarah and Aaron for some fountain fun at the Spectrum! Alyssa didn't get soaked, but oh did Gavin! It was fine though cuz he was able to cool off in our 85 degree weather!

Wild Animal Park

Yes, we have been living for the San Diego Zoo's the past two weekends! Even though its a lot of work, its so much fun to take the kids there! This was Alyssa and Gavin's first trip to the Wild Animal Park and of course they loved it!

Play time at Irvine Park

We had quiet a lot of fun at the park this past week! We got to visit the pony's, walk through the Zoo, and play on the playground with our friends!

Alyssa loved riding on this pony!! When i tried to get her off of it to give Sylvie a turn she wasnt having it. So Nadine and Sylvie were sweet enough to ride on the turtle next to Alyssa! :)

Gavin did not like staying the in play area! He kept crawling over the step and making me chase after him. He knows what he's doing and thinks its hilarious, its so cute!!

Elephant in Action

For those interested I posted a clip of an Elephant as it was trying to get some hay out of the barrel.

SD Zoo

What better way to start the new year then to go to the beautiful SD Zoo!! This time we were able to stay longer and see many more animals! Alyssa and Gavin are so amazed at these creatures... its just priceless to see the looks on their faces.

This Hippo kept swimming right up to the glass!

The Rhino's were playing around like dogs! It was fun to see!

The show stealer... the Elephant was hungry for some hay and kept trying to get it out of this container.

What can i say... nothing less than beautiful!

Christmas 2008

In the early afternoon we went over to visit lots of family on my Dad's side and ate very delicious homemade tamales!!! Afterward Alyssa and Gavin had lots of fun playing outside with their cousins!!

Later that day we had Christmas dinner at my Amo's house... which by the way was so yummy!! There are definitely no meals missed while visiting my family lol!!

On December 23rd we celebrated Kamma's birthday along with Christmas before leaving to visit my family for the holidays!! We all received a lot of pretty cool things for Christmas!!
