4th of July 2009

So we started off the day just hanging out at home... Alyssa likes to read, she is actually getting pretty good at remembering the words to her favorite books!

After naps we drove over to Grandma and Papa's house to celebrate! After about 20 minutes Alyssa was warmed up and ready to play with her cousin Sean. They had fun swimming and playing together.

Mmm red velvet cake... delicious!!! And yes... i gave Gavin a mohawk!! hehe :)

We were all sitting in the front yard setting off fireworks... and all around us people were letting off illegals so we got to see a nice firework show by some of the nearby neighbors!!

Gavin anxiously watching all the fireworks...yes, he was actually sitting with me and ended up falling asleep on me!!!! Oh and dont mind my nasty pool hair!! haha!!! :)

Shootin Hoops

Since Alyssa has school now Gavin gets some one on one time with Mommy! We were shooting some hoops in the backyard last week!!

Park @ Woodbury

Last Friday we met up with our friends Jenny and Mattie and walked over to a park at Woodbury for some fun!

Boy are Mommy and Daddy going to have flash backs of these pictures in about 15 years... luckily for now the calls are only from Winnie the Pooh!! :)

Alyssa's 1st day of Pre-School

Before we walked out the door to go to our first day of pre-school i had to take a photo! Alyssa did very well on her first day... of course i was doing the typical mom thing... she needs a snack and drink and a backpack... i get there and the teacher said "The kids don't need backpacks or snacks!" lol!! So its nice to know we can just get up and go! :)

Fathers Day weekend we drove up to Fresno to visit Amo and Papa! It was the perfect weather for getting wet!!

Auntie's Graduation 2009!!

June 16th, 2009 Auntie Ashley graduated from High School! We had lots of celebration and good times!!! Yay, Congrats Auntie!!!

The Zoo

I didn't capture any photos of the kids, but we went to the San Diego Zoo with my brother and his girlfriend when they were down visiting. I got some good shots of animals i had not taken pictures of (except for the elephants of course!)

Play Time!!!

This week has been flying by with all the play going on! Monday we went over to Mattie and Jenny's house for some crib jumping fun!! :)

Atlantis Park... this big park is located in the city of Garden Grove. They have some pretty cool slides and lots of area for play. All the kids had a good time, but i think us mom's were pretty tired by the time we left. Plus it so happened there were kids by the bus loads (probably 3 or 4 buses that i saw) so there were a lot of children everywhere! I am actually contemplating getting one of those back packs with a leash for Gavin cuz he LOVES to run everywhere but where Alyssa is... it gets very tiring not to mention i have Alyssa to look after too, but thank you to Jenny for all the help out with that today! :)

Look at these 2 cutie pies!! The girls have such a good time together and you gotta love Mattie... she had to scream everytime they went down the slide!! I told Jenny that i would not want to be the one to sit next to her on a roller coaster! hehe :)

I love when Gavin wants to swing cuz then he gets a moment of confinment! lol :)

Dress Up!!

On Friday we had our friends Mattie and Jenny over for some dress up fun!! :) The girls had so much fun!!

I didnt have a dress for Gavin, but if i did he probably would have ended up in one too! hehe!! :)

Alyssa kept hugging her friend Mattie so much that she wrestled her to the ground! They were laughing, it was so cute! :)

Strollers!!

I finally bought a second stroller... i only had one for the longest time, but then Gavin was jealous that he couldn't always push Alyssa's stroller so we just had to get another one! It was fun to see them running around the house and outside with them.

Cleaning Time!!

Earlier in the week we were housebound cuz I was not feeling well so... what better to do than put Alyssa and Gavin to work!! :)
They had so much fun cleaning the floor they were quiet entertained for most of the morning.

There's nothing wrong with a little taste! After all this cleaning works up quite an appetite!

Alyssa's so good she'll even get under the couch!!
